Recently, Little Crickets embarked on an exploration of Peru (metaphorically speaking), a captivating country nestled in the heart of South America.
Our journey began with the basics – locating Peru on the map. With curiosity sparking in our eyes, we traced our fingers of the world map until we found Peru nestled in South America.
Next came the creative part – crafting our very own Peruvian flags. Armed with colourful paper and pencil, each flag a unique reflection of our imagination.
As we delved deeper into our exploration, we learned about Peru's capital city, Lima. With its rich history and bustling streets, Lima captured our imaginations as we imagined ourselves wandering through its vibrant markets and historic landmarks.
But Peru is not just about cities – it's a land of diverse landscapes, from towering mountains to lush rainforests. One of the most awe-inspiring discoveries was Machu Picchu, nestled high in the Andes Mountains. Learning about this ancient Inca village, built in the 15th century, filled us with wonder and amazement.
And who could forget Paddington Bear, the beloved literary character hailing from "darkest Peru"? Inspired by his adventures, we set out to create our own Paddington bears.
From crafting flags to learning about ancient civilisations, every moment was a chance to expand our horizons and broaden our understanding of the world around us.
