Flipping Fun: Pre-schoolers Celebrate Pancake Day!
In Little Crickets, something special was cooking last week. It was Pancake Day and our preschoolers were ready to roll up their sleeves and dive in to pancake-making!
With eager hands and curious minds, children were engrossed by their culinary journey, armed with bowls, spoons, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. Together, we measured out the key ingredients – eggs, flour, and milk – and took turns whisking away, ensuring our batter was as smooth as silk.
When it came time to transform our batter into golden pancakes, we left the hot pans to the capable hands of our teachers. With expert guidance, we watched in amazement as the batter sizzled and bubbled, gradually turning into mouthwatering pancakes. Miss Gray certainly earned her title as the pancake-flipping champion!
Once our pancakes were perfectly golden and stacked high, it was time for the grand finale – the toppings! From sticky syrup to sweet sugar, each child personalised their pancake masterpiece with their favorite flavors. But amidst the delicious indulgence, we also took a moment to learn about the significance of Pancake Day and the traditions that surround it, adding a sprinkle of education to our culinary escapades.
Sticky fingers and syrupy smiles was the theme as the children enjoyed their pancakes. syrup. Until next year, pancakes – we'll be counting down the days!
